New walls and ceilings hung, taped and sanded to a Level 4 finish as standard — Level 5 where the light is unforgiving.
Drywall is the trade that decides whether paint looks good. A wall can be hung perfectly and still show every seam if the finishing stops a coat early, and no amount of paint hides it afterwards — it highlights it.
So we work to the finish levels the industry actually defines. Level 4, three coats over the tape and sanded flat, is our standard for matte, eggshell and satin. Level 5, a skim coat across the whole surface, is what we recommend under satin or semi-gloss paint and on any wall where a window rakes light along it and shows everything.
What's in the price: board, tape, compound, corner bead, delivery, the labour to hang and finish, and cleaning up the sanding dust. What moves the price: ceiling height, how much of the existing wall stays, and whether the room needs Level 4 or Level 5. None of it shows up as an extra line later.
What This Includes
New Walls & Ceilings
Board measured, cut and screwed tight and square, with joints planned to land where they are easiest to hide.
Taping & Mudding
Tape coat, fill coat, finish coat — three passes minimum, each one sanded before the next goes on.
Level 4 & Level 5 Finishes
Level 4 is standard and suits matte, eggshell and satin. Level 5 adds a full skim coat for semi-gloss, gloss and raking light. We tell you which one your room needs and why.
Repairs & Patching
Cracks, nail pops, holes and water-damaged board cut back to solid material, replaced, feathered wide and sanded flat into the wall around it.
Corner Bead & Archways
Metal or paper-faced bead on every outside corner, so the edges stay straight when the house moves and settles.
