Factory-grade finishes on existing cabinets — a fraction of replacement cost, looks like new.

About Cabinet Painting

Done properly, once.

Replacing cabinets is one of the biggest renovation expenses in any kitchen. A factory-grade cabinet refinish costs a fraction of replacement and looks just as new — when it's done right. We remove doors and drawer fronts, sand and clean every surface, prime, and apply two coats of cabinet-grade enamel in a dust-controlled spray booth.

Our Process

How we refinish cabinets.

A proper cabinet refinish is mostly prep. Skip a step and you'll see it within a year — peeling, soft spots, brush marks. Our 7-step process is built to last a decade or more.

  1. 01

    Pre-inspection

Check hinges, joints, and surfaces. Flag anything that needs repair before we start.

  2. 02

    Remove doors and drawers

Each piece labelled and tagged so it returns to the exact opening it came from.

  3. 03

    Degrease and clean

TSP wash on every surface to lift the years of cooking residue paint won't bond to.

  4. 04

    Sand

220-grit on all surfaces. Cuts the existing finish and gives the primer a key to bite into.

  5. 05

    Prime

Bonding primer designed for slick laminates, melamine, and old oil-based finishes.

  6. 06

    Spray two coats

    Cabinet-grade waterborne alkyd, applied in a dust-controlled booth for a factory-smooth finish.

  7. 07

    Cure and reinstall

48 hours to harden. Hardware reinstalled, soft-close hinges adjusted, doors re-hung straight.

Knowledge

What homeowners should know.

A refinish runs roughly a quarter of the cost of new cabinets — and takes 3–5 days instead of 2–3 weeks. The boxes stay, your kitchen layout stays, and you avoid the lead time on custom millwork.

Color change isn't a limit. Bonding primer means you can go from dark stained oak to crisp white, or any direction between.

  • Finish options

Satin balances sheen and forgiveness. Semi-gloss is more durable. Matte is on-trend but shows fingerprints faster.

  • Longevity

Expect 10–15 years on a properly prepped and sprayed finish under normal kitchen use.

  • Veneer cabinets

We can paint over intact veneer. Damaged or peeling veneer needs repair first.
